In the 2020s, more and more companies and individuals are daring to venture into the wonderful world of online shopping.
By 2021 alone, the Fashion Industry Report estimates that 61% of global sales will be made through online channels.
Even so, today in Mexico, six out of ten people shop online. Reading this statistic, the following question came to mind: What about the other four?
So today I decided to make a list for you, my dear readers, of the pros that I, as a compulsive shopper, find about shopping remotely.
The purpose of this article is to help all those women who, for one reason or another, hesitate to shop online find something in this list of advantages that will catch their attention enough to encourage them to shop online for the first time.
So I set out to investigate the most common reasons why people are afraid to buy online. In most cases, these are:
1) That the product they order is not what they expected.
2) The fear of not being able to try on clothes or getting the wrong size is also common.
3) The theft of bank details is one of the most common.
As I mentioned at the beginning, the intention of this article is to encourage you to buy online, so I am going to present you with some tips that can help you overcome these fears.
TIP 1 Make sure you have personal references from the site you are purchasing from. If you are looking for a specific item, feel free to ask your friends if they know of any site they can recommend.
TIP 2 Try to interact with people who have already made the same purchase as you. Perhaps their experience can clear up your doubts, and you could make a new friend.
TIP 3 Stay in constant communication with your bank. Nowadays, there are many platforms that let you know in real time if there are transactions within your account. Activate one of them so that you receive notifications on your mobile phone and are able to detect transactions that you do not recognize.
TIP 4 Use the size guides provided on the website. All you need is a measuring tape and your measurements. This will allow you to order the correct size and could mean the difference between a successful purchase and a failed one.
TIP 5 Read the comments that people leave about the items they have already purchased. They may mention details that may encourage or discourage you from making your purchase.
TIP 6 It never hurts, and although it may seem a bit tedious, it is important that you read the fine print and know what terms you are agreeing to when you make your purchase.
TIP 7 Always, and I repeat, always, it is better to make purchases from a certified site. Avoid purchasing from third parties through social networks like Facebook, as there is no guarantee of the seriousness of these people.
TIP 8 Once you've made your purchase, track your order once a day so that if you detect a problem, you can notify technical support and they can help you solve it.
TIP 9 If the computer you are using to make purchases is not yours, avoid leaving your bank details and passwords on it.
TIP 10 Enjoy it. Shopping online should be a pleasant experience, not a torment.
With these tips, you may feel ready, and with practice, you may finally discover the magic behind online shopping.
