In the author's opinion, one of the most iconic films of the 20th century is Eat, Pray, Love, by director Ryan Murphy; this week's recommendation: if you haven't seen it, go see it; it's on Netflix.
The film tells the story of Liz, a woman who, having “everything” anyone would dream of, wakes up one day and realizes that she is not really happy. This drives her to embark on a journey to find herself. Her journey takes her to beautiful places around the world, starting in Italy, then taking her to India and ending in Indonesia.
(Spoiler alert) One of the key messages of the film is sent through lingerie, just as you read it, lingerie.
In the scene, Liz and her friend Sofi enter a store. Liz falls in love with a lace set and decides not to buy it because she has no one to come and see it.
I won't tell you what happens in this scene because as I already mentioned this is the recommendation of the week but it made me question the topic.
