How to make honey wax quickly and easily from the comfort of your home. Say goodbye to facial and body hair. - Liza Pons

In yesterday's article, we talked about alternatives to shaving for hair removal, and one that caught our attention was honey wax. So today, we're bringing you the recipe to make it from the comfort of your home.

If you missed it click on the title...........

The ingredients and utensils you will need for preparation and application

  • A quarter of a kilo of white sugar
  • Half a cup of honey
  • The juice of half a small lemon
  • A vitamin E capsule
  • A pot
  • Baby powder
  • Wooden sticks
  • Wax remover cloth (you can buy it at Sally's)

Preparation method

In a clean and completely dry pot, add the honey and sugar. Start mixing them little by little. Once you achieve a homogeneous mixture, let it sit overnight. This step is important because it will give your wax greater adherence, meaning it will remove more hair in one pass.

After the night, the next morning, place the mixture on the stove and begin mixing over very low heat. It is very important to use the lowest flame possible and move the mixture around to prevent it from burning and sticking.

When you see the wax begin to boil and take on a color similar to maple syrup, it's time to remove it from the heat.

NOTE: DO NOT USE IT FRESHLY FROM THE STOVE

Think of wax as candy and it could literally burn your skin. Pour the mixture into a topper that you can then place in a double boiler if it hardens too much.

It is very important not to heat the wax in the microwave, only in a double boiler.

Ideally, you should wait an average of 30 to 35 minutes after preparing the wax so you can use it safely. Always check the temperature of the wax with a spoon before applying it directly to your skin. This will help prevent accidents.

Application mode

Make sure your skin is clean and moisturized the night before. Before waxing, apply a light layer of baby powder to your skin. Then, take a small amount of wax with a wooden stick and apply it in the direction of hair growth.

(Ideally, this should not be longer than 20 centimeters and the thickness of the wax layer should not be greater than 2 centimeters) Stick the cloth, apply pressure and pull in the opposite direction of the hair.

And that's it, easy and quick honey wax from the comfort of your home!
